Jeffrey Goldstein

Jeffrey Goldstein, President & CEO

Jeffrey acquired Arco Management in 1974 and has grown MMS Group into one of the largest and most respected property management organizations nationwide. A graduate of Drexel University, Jeffrey continues to maintain a pragmatic, hands-on approach to every property. His more than 40 years’ experience spans affordable housing, conventional apartments, condominiums and cooperatives, office space, hotels and luxury hospitality, commercial retail space, and single-family development. He is widely regarded as a residential management expert in all phases of management, investment, and development including operations, finance, maintenance, insurance and consulting. As liaison between professionals, vendors, service providers and support staff, Jeffrey assures his clients personalized service, satisfaction and efficiency. His coordinated approach, including budget development, contract negotiation, capital improvement supervision and related legal proceedings, has earned a formidable reputation for his companies.

He is equally competent in real estate development involving assets in excess of $1.3 billion within the continental United States and Anguilla, BWI.

Rachael Goldstein

Rachael Goldstein, Executive Vice President of Management

Rachael serves as asset manager on family-held properties and focuses on business optimization strategies across the MMS Group affiliates.

She acts as executive liaison for corporate and property-specific projects, interfacing between owners, investors, management, lenders, and vendors. She holds Certified Occupancy Specialist and Tax Credit Specialist certifications. Prior to joining MMS Group, Rachael spent 12 years in Fixed Income Sales and Trading, first at UBS Investment Bank and 8 years at Goldman Sachs. She was a Senior Vice President in Credit Sales, transacting in investment grade and high yield securities, municipal debt, credit derivatives, private placements, and structured products in both the primary and secondary markets. She was also responsible for cultivating and managing institutional client relationships at some of the largest asset management firms and insurance companies in the nation. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University.

Clifford Asher

Clifford Asher, Executive Vice President of Operations

Cliff oversees the regional management and compliance teams with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability for our clients.
Cliff also supervises day-to-day management of MMS Group’s affordable portfolio, acting as primary executive liaison with ownerships.

He engages prospective clients, working with them through the due diligence and on-boarding process, to assure that new projects are successfully transitioned to our regional, accounting, and compliance teams. Prior to joining MMS Group, Cliff was a Senior Asset Manager for Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage and AIMCO Capital. He was responsible for ensuring sound management practices and financial performance and supervised third-party managing agents and client-owned and operated properties.

Trashaun Banks

Trashaun Banks, Executive Vice President of Compliance

Traci has over 20 years of Property Management experience and heads the MMS Group Compliance Department. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has extensive knowledge of HUD Programs, REAC, IRS Section 42 Tax Credit and HOME. She has managed apartment communities in 17 different states across the country. Traci’s responsibilities have spanned project management, staffing, marketing, budget administration, conducting inspections, training, and program compliance and maintenance. She is certified in IRS Section 42 Tax Credits, Housing Quality Standards, HUD Occupancy Standards, and has administered numerous HUD and IRS Section 42 Tax Credit compliance contracts. Her housing expertise includes REAC and HQS inspections, Tax Credit inspections of LIHTC files, Tax Credit physical inspections, capital expenditures and improvements, specifications in contracting, property management and analysis, and day-to-day property management operations. Ms. Banks is a certified OneSite Trainer and has led the system conversions of over 100 properties.

Michele Bottari

Michele is responsible for implementing strategies to recruit, train, and retain a high-performing and motivated workforce. She has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of Human Resources including talent, compensation, benefits, training, and employee and labor relations. Her industry experience includes property management, consulting and staffing services. Prior to joining MMS Group, Michele was Human Resources Manager for REL Consultancy Group in New York. She expanded their operations in California, Mexico City and San Paulo focusing primarily on international immigration law and recruiting, in addition to negotiating and implementing 401k and benefit plans. Michele is certified through the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Human Resources Professional (PHR).

Jason Phillips

Jason Phillips, Executive Vice President of Facilities Management

Jason oversees and coordinates all aspects of building inspections including REAC. MMS Group’s REAC scores are among the best in the nation, consistently achieving in the 90’s with some properties receiving perfect scores of 100. His careful attention to rules and regulations ensures the highest possible performance at the lowest cost. Additionally, Mr. Phillips monitors and addresses necessary major repairs and replacements pertaining to mechanical, structural and capital items at each property we manage. He coordinates annual inspections of buildings in our portfolio and prepares physical needs assessments to assure funding for capital items is considered in rent increase applications or potential refinancing. Jason’s department also monitors all boiler inspections, Local Law 11 requirements, New York City mandates, and lead-based paint regulations.

Jonathan Klein

Jonathan Klein, Senior Vice President of Construction & Development

Jonathan has an extensive background in property management, company operations, construction, and global facilities management, with an emphasis on analysis of operations and contracts. Prior to joining MMS Group, Jonathan was President of Wentworth Property Management of New York, one of the state’s largest management companies. Jonathan works with corporate clients, assisting them with facility operational oversight and major capital construction projects including total building rehabilitation, apartment renovations, redesigning of existing spaces and necessary exterior work. He spearheads a team of professionals to consult with developers on common area spaces, decorating, marketing, and rentals for new apartment buildings and complexes. John recently finished negotiating a Build It Back grant from New York State totaling almost 30 million dollars to perform necessary repairs and ensure storm resiliency. He is a Business Management graduate of Syracuse University.
